DIY Thankful Fall Sign: Step by step Kit Guide

What’s Inside the Kit

• Wood backing (sign base)
• Paints
• Mod Podge
• Paint brushes
• Cardstock (background)
• Laser cut pieces (“Thankful” + accents)
• Add-on options: bow, greenery, paint droppers
You’ll Also Need (not included)
• Hot glue gun + glue sticks
• Flat edge tool (card, scraper)
• Paper plate/palette, water cup, paper towels
• Optional: scissors, painter’s tape, hair dryer for faster drying
Step 1: Unbox, Plan & Prep

Lay everything out and do a quick “dry fit” of your design.
Step 2: Paint the Laser Cutouts
Paint the word Thankful and accents.
Let dry for 10–20 minutes.
Step 3: Prep the Board with Mod Podge
Apply an even coat of Mod Podge over the entire board.
Step 4: Add the Cardstock Background
Place the cardstock on the board. Smooth from center outward. Add a thin top coat of Mod Podge to seal.
Step 5: Attach the Laser Cuts

Arrange your “Thankful” cutout and accents while Mod Podge is still tacky. Press to secure and let set for 10–20 minutes.
Step 6: Garnish & Finish
Attach a bow, greenery, or both to add personality.
Step 7: Style & Display
Your sign is done! Display it in your entryway, on a mantel, or as Thanksgiving décor.
